Hello Readers,
Would you like to have fun blogging about what you're reading? Great! Just join in. Since I'm at home now, I'm reading some great books! Just finished The White Queen, which Ms. Horst lent me. It's about old England and Queen Elizabeth. Sounds stuffy but it wasn't. It was GREAT! Have fun reading! And thanks for sharing!
I am reading Water For Elephants. It's written by Sara Gruen. I am only on page 26 but it's really good. So far what I've read is that Jacob's parents are in a deadly car accident and he is left orphaned at the age of twenty three. His parent's estate is going to the bank, and he is alone. He also finds out that his parents had taken out a mortgage on their house so he could go to college. I think it's going to be a really good book and I can't wait to finish it. I would like to say thanks to Mrs.Gruhn for recommending it to me.
ReplyDeleteThe White Queen is about a young widow who meets King Edward on the road in England. He falls in love with her, she secretly marries him and she becomes his queen. The book is full of intrigue and lots of adventure as she tries to protect her children, especially the boys and heirs to the throne from other family members who want to kill them. It was a great book!
ReplyDeleteBecca, did you find your Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging you asked about? I saw it at Lyons Public Library and can get it to you somehow if you haven't found it returned at EC. There are 10 books in that series by Louise Rennison. However, you must read in 3 weeks so I can return by 4 week checkout.
