March, finally. New month, new blog. Inkdeath was the final book of the wonderful Inkheart trilogy. How fortunate I was to stumble onto these books. I have a sense, but only a sense of another book in the offing. It seemed to finish, yet I still had a major question about the characters...will they ever get "home?" Inkdeath Blog 8
March, finally. New month, new blog. Inkdeath was the final book of the wonderful Inkheart trilogy. How fortunate I was to stumble onto these books. I have a sense, but only a sense of another book in the offing. It seemed to finish, yet I still had a major question about the characters...will they ever get "home?" I just finished The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan, Percy and the other half bloods have defeated Kronos and his army and Percy had a chance by the gods to become imortal but he turned it he chose for the gods to respect all the gods and minor gods and care for all the half bloods. The Percy Jackson series was the best series I have ever read.
ReplyDeleteI am reading a book called Go Big or Go Home. Its about two boys named Brady and Quinn. One night in the Black Hills of South Dakota, Brady is watching the stars on his roof when, CRASH!!!!, A meteroite the size of a baseball comes shooting down through his roof and hits his bed right where he would be sleeping. The next day, Quinn comes to town and they hangout for a week. During the week, Brady gets strange powers like unbelieveable strengh, Great leg muscle, and awesome basketball skills. Im still reading so i dont know the rest.
ReplyDeleteI am reading Seekers: Great Bear Lake. It is the second book in the Seekers series. Now the 3 bears have gotten to the lake. The Grizzly Bear Toklo has to swim to the island in the middle of Great Bear Lake. He has to claim his territory there and protect it. He must stay there for the longest day. It is where the sun is defeated and night will come and bring back the snow and ice for the Polar Bears. All the bears that went there to ask the spirits to bring back the food. This is a good book. I would recomend it, but you would have to read the first one.
ReplyDeleteI am currently reading the book The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd. This book is about a girl named Lily that has run away from home with Rosaleen, a black woman that takes care of Lily. Lily lost her mother when she was little by a terrible accident and her father hasn't been the same since. Lily and Rosaleen end up at a bee farm in Tiburon, South Carolina. Lily doesn't want her father T. Ray to find her so she plans to stay at the bee farm with the bee keepers, May, June, and August. But soon Lily realizes August knows her secret and Lily doesn't know what to do. I am about half way through this book on page 171. It is a good book so far and I should be finished soon.
ReplyDeleteRight now i am reading the book Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. Its about a girl that gets killed by her neighbor in a little under ground hide out he made for all the kids around. He cut her up and put her parts in a bag. He left one piece behind; the elbow. Shes in heaven now and she is trying to help her dad to figure out who murdered her. She knows who did it and so does her dad but he is only telling the police so far. Hes not for sure if it was him or not. The reason i am reading this book id because i saw it on tv and everyone allways says the book is better than the movie. So im going to read the book then go watch the movie.
ReplyDeleteI finished book 8 of the Cirque Du Freak. It was a shocker. The main character Darren goes back to the town of his first girlfriend and the home town of his mentor Mr. Crepsley. While he was in town a school social worker came and told Darren that he was enrolled into school. So Darren went to the school. When he went there his English teacher was his GIRLFRIEND. You didn't expect that didn't you. Plus, he met his old friend. Continued........
ReplyDeleteRight now I am reading Dear John by Nicholas Sparks. It is about a soldier who comes home on leave and meets a girl named Savannah. John, the soldier, falls in love with Savannah. John was a rebel, who's dad probably has Aspergers, which is a development disorder like autism. John has to go back to Germany and doesn't want to leave Savannah. He promises her that he will marry her when he gets out of the army and they write letters back and forth.
ReplyDeleteRight now i am reading Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire. I am reading all the books now. They are a little dissapointing. It seems like there are more details in the movie. Although right now harry is just about to show up at the world quidditch cup. Harry has a feeling that something bad is going to happen because his scar tarted to hurt.
ReplyDeleteI'm still reading Friday Night Lights. The Athletic boosters are having a watermelon feed to announce the players for the new season. Weeks later during a preseason scrimage Boobie's knee gets injured. So another senior gets to fill in, but when he gets the ball he fumbles it right away. So then the third string half-back takes over. Things don't look so good at Permian now.
ReplyDeleteI currently finished a book called Paint the Wind by Pam Munoz Ryan. This book is about a girl named Maya that lives with her grandmother after her parents horrible death. Maya's grandmother is so mean that she wont let Maya go to visit her other grandparents. Then one morning Maya's father's mom dies. Maya is sent to live with her other grandparents that hasn't seen since she was four. When Maya finally arrives at the air port her grandpa "Moose" takes her home as he cries. I would recommend this book to anyone is they like horse stories and mysteries.

ReplyDeleteI read this book called "The Guardian" a novel from Nicholas Sparks. It's mainly about this girl and her husband died. He left her a note and a dog that ends up protecting her from a stalker. The weird point about it is that she went on a few dates with the same guy! He falls in love with her but she breaks up with him. Not only did he try to kill her coworker but he killed his wife also. This book has a thrilling ending.
ReplyDeleteI am reading a book called The Golem's Eye. Its a book about magicians, and jinns, and all things magic. The chapters are about three different people. One is Bartimous which is a jinni who is suppose to listen to one of the other to Natheniel. Bartimous is being force to guard Natheniel's town. And the last person is Kitty and she hates magicians because one hurt her when she was younger. Well Natheniel is in a business that protects the town. But the town is being attacked by something that they are trying to catch. That's where Bartimous comes in. He is supposed to help capture this thing before it takes down the whole town. But this thing is very powerful and is hard to catch. Right now I am reading Bartimous following the thing's footprints. He finds that the thing's footprint is huge so he knows that the thing is huge. That is all I can tell you. For now that is.
ReplyDeleteI was reading a book called Among the barons. Its the fourth book of the among the hidden series. Its about a kid named Luke that came out of hiding with a fake ID. His fake brother Smits comes to Luke's new school with his bodyguard Oscar.
ReplyDeleteI am read a book called The Forest Of Hands And Teeth by Carrie Ryan. Its about a girl named Mary that lives in a town surrounded by the forest of hands and teeth. The forest of hands and teeth have the unconsecrated people in it. The unconsecrated people are evil people that feed on the flesh of the living. Mary's mother got bite by an unconsecrated and he brother or this guy Harry won;t speak for her. So she must join the sisterhood, the people that take care of the sick and the village in general. So far right now Harry has decided to speak for her and Mary doesn't wan to leave the sisterhood but Sister Tabitha and her brother Jed says she must. This is as far as i got so far in the book.
ReplyDeleteI am reading a Book called Harry Potter and the half blood prince. I have read a couple of pages and then had to restart. The book that I am reading at school is The Innocent Solder. I just got in to that book. So far in that book I have read a chapter. In the Harry Potter I have read a little bit ever now and then.
ReplyDeleteI just got done with the book Maze Runner it wasn't bad kind of confusing at the begining though. It was about a boy named Thomas and he gets his memory swiped before he is put into a maze experiment that may save human kind. When he arrived in this box that carried him from the lab to the maze he saw only guys. A day after he arrived a girl showed up in the box and she was holding a crumpled up note and she was in a coma when she arrived. After a few days the doors to the maze don't close and then they find there way out. It is an awesome book if you want to read a long book.
ReplyDeleteI'm in the middle of reading Skellig by David Almond. Its a good book. its about these kids having a question about who are they from. Monkeys, birds. Then there is this guy named Skellig and he lives in the garage and he is very lonely and nobody noes about him. He is very weak and he eats bugs. After awhile he starts to go wings.
ReplyDeleteI'm reading The Blind Side now. Michael Oher is a poor 16 year old who lives in Hurt Village in the poor side of Memphis. Michael's best friend kicks him out of his house and he has very few clothes and no where to go. The Tuohy family ends up taking him in and giving him a home. Michael joins the football team in the spring for the start of spring practice. After the first game of the season he becomes a star and colleges are knocking at his door.
ReplyDeleteI am currently reading "Peak" by Roland Smith. It is a story about a boy how just got caught y the police for climbing a skyscraper. He then goes with his father to climb Mt. Everest. If he climbs to the summit before his 15 birthday he would be the youngest to reach the summit. He has to climb up and down the mountain to acclimatize. To accliatize is where you gain extra blood cells to deal with the lack of oxygen. I have gotten to the point where he is going to try for the summit. This is a good book and Roland Smith has other great books.
ReplyDeleteI am currently reading the book called Before I Die by Jenny Dowham. It is about a girl named Tessa who is 16 years old and has cancer. She only has a few months left to live. So she sets out to do many things she wants to do before she dies and she writes them all down on a list. I am about half way through the book and I think that it is really worth reading!

ReplyDeleteI just finished a book called The Summer of Riley by Eve Bunting. It is about a kid named William and his friend Grace. William just got a new dog named Riley and it chased livestock. The city wants to put it asleep and now William and Grace are on a mission to save Riley.
ReplyDeleteI am currently reading a book called Icefire. The book is about a 20-year-old tenant, called David Rain,who moves into a room in the house of the Pennykettles. This is the 2nd one in the series. The Pennykettles are very special potters because, I kid you not, their clay dragons are ALIVE!!! read on to find out what David does!

ReplyDeleteI am reading is Coraline. It is really good so far. Some of the people are Miss Spink Miss Forcible. The book is about a girl named Coraline and her dad. I am half way through it already. She likes animals. The parents did not own all the house it was to big.

ReplyDeleteStarted the hunger games all i know so far is that its in the future the U.S.A its called The Capital we are starving and most the U.S is under water we are put into Districts there are 12 and that's were its like a fenced in town were they can not leave if they do they can be shoot and killed some of the districts try to rebel but the capital booms them to dust...
