Run, don't walk to get The Maze Runner. I thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait for the next one! James Dashner had better move on that because lots of people are waiting. It's about a young guy who wakes from a black fog in a cage, in another place where he and a group of super fit young men have to find their way out. He becomes the Maze Runner. It is filled with futuristic evil, survival and interesting characters. Great read. Finished City of Glass. Right, Jenn., Sebastian was a key character in the ending of this book! I am reading Inkdeath by Cornelia Funke at the moment, finishing up the last of her wonderful trilogy. Keep reading and enjoying your picks.

ReplyDeleteI am currently ready The Maze Runner by James Dashner. This book is about a boy named Thomas that ends up in a place called the Glade with a lot of other guys. Thomas doesn't know why but he wants to be one of the Maze Runners. He is just starting to figure out his way around the Glade when he gets attached by a sick boy. The boy tells him he has seen Thomas in the changing. I am currently on page 99. I think this book is pretty good so far.
ReplyDeleteI am now reading the book The Lovely Bones. It is about a girl named Susie Salmon. She was murdered at the age of 14, by one of her own neighbors. She watches her family live their lives. Some of them can't move on right away and try to find their daughter and sister. Until the police come and tell them everything that must of happened, a murder case. She hates to see her family in a harsh time and the murderer live his life like nothing happened. It's a story that explains what happens in her heaven and down on her earth with her family. While they try to solve the case themselves. I really like this book so far and i would recommend it to anyone that likes a good mystery book.
ReplyDeleteThe book I am reading now is yet another Fablehaven.This is book is number three, with a subtitle of "Grip of the Shadow Plague". Not the cheeriest of openings is it? Nonetheless, it is a great book. This volume finds our heros in the middle of a plague that turns light creatures into dark beings that only want to spread the plague and cause harm. Will they make it through the crisis at hand, or will Fablehaven fall? find out!
ReplyDeleteRight now i am reading the book If I Stay by Gayle Forman. I haven't started it yet but by the look and the discreption it looks very good. The reason i am reading it is because i heard from a couple people that it was a good book.
ReplyDeleteRight now I am reading a book called Beautiful Creature by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. It is about a boy named Ethan Wate, whos family has lived in a town called Gatlin for as long as they have known. Ethan has been having these weird dreams about a girl and whenever he wakes up he is always drenched or covered in mud. When a new girl moves into town and is living with the town shut-in, he realizes that she is the girl from the strange dreams. Ethan and the girl, Lena, are in the lot next door to lenas uncle house and they find a locket. Ethan and Lena have a vision of Gatlin in the Revoulutionary War and when Ethan shows the locket to his spirtial card reader caretaker, Amma, she freaks out and tells him not to see Lena again but that doesn't stop him.

ReplyDeleteI'm almost finished with my book, Enthusiasm By Polly Shulman. Now the love interest between Julie and Parr have sparked. But her father thinks she is dating a boy named Seth Young. Julie and Seth are friends but Seth wants to be more then friends and Julie doesn't. So Julie is in this love triangle. But recently Julies mother took a job at the school Parr goes to. Julie is in a play there with he best friend Ashleigh. I'm almost at the end with this book.

ReplyDeleteI am currently reading a book called Into The Blue, by Ben M. Baglio. This book is about a girl named Jody, she loves dolphins a lot. She wanted to see a real live dolphin instead of her posters on her wall. So, her grandmother sent her this dolphin necklace in the mail. She said hopefully this would give you good luck, and matter of fact it did. Jody finally got her wish and she went on a trip. When they day they first spot a dolphin Jody's mom Gina goes in to do some research on it. After that Jody decides to name him Apollo, named after a Greek God. A few days later a storm comes, Jody falls off the side on the Dolphin Dreamer, and Apollo saves her from the storm.
ReplyDeleteI just finished a book called "The Choice" and I love it. It a love story, but it has alot of twist and turns in it. This book is by Nicholas Sparks, witch is one of my favorite authors. In this book they fall in love in a different way. Gabby moved in next door and Travis shes her and thinks she beautiful when he sees her. Gabby has a boyfriend and tries to resist Travis but she ends up loving him. There's some mystery to this book as well,not like who killed who, but like whos she going to choose. And is he going to pull the feeding tube or put her in a nursing home.

ReplyDeleteI am reading a book called Dolphin Diaries. It is a good book. I am on chapter nine. The main character is Jody and her friend Brittany. The dolphin is Apollo. The book is based on a dream. Jody and Brittany got in a fight about the dolphin. Jody thinks the present her mom gave her is good luck.
ReplyDeleteI'm reading a book called The Bartimaeus Trilogy. Its a book about magic. Theirs this jinni called Bartimaeus and he gets summoned by this boy named Nathienal and the chapters are just about the m two. Well Nathienal summons Bartimaeus to steal an amulet called the Amulet of Samarkand from a person named Simon Lovlace. The reason why is because Simon Lovlace embarrassed him in front of a lot of people and he wants revenge and that's when he summons Bartimaus. If you want to know more you will have to read the book.

ReplyDeleteI am reading two books Cirque Du Freak book 5 and Resolution. They are both good books. Resolution is a western about Hitch and Cole. And there is something stirring up in Resolution(its a town). In Cirque Du Freak, it is about Darren going through trials. If he passes he lives. If he doesn't he is killed.
ReplyDeleteI just finished a book called Edward's Eyes. Its about two boys named Edward and Jake who love the game of baseball. Edward is the star pitcher who hasn't stuck out in batting since he started playing baseball. On night, Jake's older sister has to have a baby and go to the hospital. She has the baby and Edward and Jake raise the baby till it is about 3 years old. One day, Edward goes to town to get the baby a baseball cap when tragety strikes. Edward's bike brakes fail going down a big hill and he runs into a tree so fast that it kills him. Jake and his family donate Edward's eyes to a hospital. The guy who got the eyes loves to play baseball and Jake tries to find the guy.

Her family has a hard time trying to get through this terrible tragedy. Her father tries to do everything to try to solve his daughter's murder. While Susie is up in Heaven, a lot of things are going on with her family. Her sister meets a boy and they spend time with each other all the time and they decide to get married. Her little brother Buckley, grows up from being 5 when she died to being in 7th grade. Her father is the one in the family that just can't stand not to have Susie anymore. He tries every thing to find the murderer, which he ends up in the hospital. They family has many deep conversations that end up very nicely, but there are some that don't end up like they should. Susie likes to watch her family from heaven, but it is very hard for her. Susie watches the boy of her dreams from Heaven, live through without her. But what bothers her the most, is that she watches the man from the neighborhood live on without any trouble. This book was AWESOME! I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in books that have a little romance in them, mystery, or even family.
ReplyDeleteRight now i am reading a book calle What would emma do? by Eileen Cook. It is a very good book. Its about a girl who kissed her bestfriends boyfriend on christmas in the mall. Her friend is not very happy. One night emma just wanted to go out so she called Colin (her bestfreinds bofriend) and they went to The Barn together. There, he said that he always had feeling for her, but she doesn't have feelings for him. They seen Darci (the one emma dislikes very much) and her friend drinking. Well then next day at school darci's friend falls over and has a seizure. Well now darci and a lot of other girls are doing the same thing. Emma thinks its just they all want to be cool and that falling over and having a seizure is the new "THING." The reason i choose this book was because my friend told me it was a good book and by the look of the book it looks reallt good.
ReplyDeleteI'm now reading the book Friday Night Lights, by H. G. Bissinger. It's about an old oil boom town that loves the game of football on Friday nights. Their high school stadium holds 20,000 people and usually get at least 19,000 people every Friday during the season. Their team is the Permian Panthers otherwise known as the MOJO. The year is 1988 and their hopes for a fifth state championship are high.
ReplyDeleteI have finished reading Monstrumologist.I highly recommend this book. Its a about a boy Will Henry. He is the assistant to Pellinor Withrop, the Monstrumologist. They get a body from a man, attached to the body is a creature, an Anthropophagi.It has massive claws, no head, giant mouth, and can leap up to 40 feet. When they return to the cematary to but the girl back a pod of 30-35 attack them. They then go and talk to the man who had transported them here. They call a man to hunt them down and they have to go into there den to take the remaining ones out. In the end Will Henry has a leech that lives with him. IT helps him live until he is 130. The man that read his diary tries to find out whats true about it. At Will Henry's grave, he dug into the soil to find tiny leeches. The way they enter the body is unknown. This was a great book. I would suggest every one to read it.
ReplyDeleteI recently read the "Maximum Ride" series. This book was all action and thats what I loved about it! Max(14), the leader, Fang(14), second in command, Iggy(14), blind explosives maker, Nudge(11), the talker, Gasman(8), Iggy's little helper, and Angel(6), Maxs gifted little girl. This family(no blood relation)has been through A LOT!!! They were locked in dog crates, nearly killed, hunted, and experimented on. All within 14 years or less. They grew up in a lab together, killed/fought together, hid together, everything together. They have no place to call home, mostly sleeping in trees, caves, anything thats away from civilization. They never knew there parents and there not even sure of there real age, and yet they've been close to death more than you could possibly count. If thats not enough...they have wings. They enemys that have tryed killing them time and time again, and there "father," the person who saved them from these things, says that Max is supposed to "save the world," and then turned against them and helped the enemy. They've had a tough life, action, with a little bit of romance, and even some mystery about what could possibly come next, this would be a good book for anyone to read, it even has some pretty funny parts..but you'll have to find out on your own...sorry!

ReplyDeleteI just finished the book Before I Die. It is a bout a girl who is dyeing from cancer. She makes a list of things she wants to do before she dies. A few of the things on her list are to fall in love, break the law, and become famous. She starts at the number one thing on her list and works her way down. During the story her best friend gets pregnate and she falls in love with the guy that lives next door. He stays by her side till the very end. It is a really good book and i would highly recomend it.

ReplyDeleteI am reading a book called Frozen Stiff. Cody and Derek are stranded on a beach because Cody lost her kayak and half of their supplies at hi-tide. Cody can't see because of the glare of a glacier. She slept for several days. When she finally woke up she finds out that there is a poacher on the island. Derek trusts him but is then kidnapped. Now Cody is traveling through the wilderness to find them.

ReplyDeleteI'm reading a book called touching spirit bear and it is about a kid named Cole who gets in a lot of trouble. Cole ends up getting into a fight with this kid named Peter and well he bounced his face off the cement a few times and Peter ends up with almost brain damage. After that Cole is put into this Circle Justice committee and he is sent to a far out island off the coast of Alaska. He is given a shelter and stuff he will need for awhile then he burns the shelter down and then started to swim to a closer island and wants to get back to the main land.
